The Ministerial Team
Our church administration has recently been restructured. We currently have
the services of two ministers and a full time youth
worker. Who are supported by two elders - Kathy Mackay,
and Norman Fuggle. Elections for a further five elders will take place in
September 2008. The Leadership

The Rev'd Carl Stokes
Senior Minister
Carl was inducted as our new Ministerial Team Leader on the 17th
November, 2007, having served his previous church in Essex for
13 years.
He heralds from Wiltshire and is married to Juliette and they
have two children. He enjoys driving around in
his classic car and also buggy power kiting. Carl has a heart
for sharing God’s love in relevant and meaningful ways and
helping folk to understand God’s purpose for their lives.
He is a gifted preacher and teacher with a pastoral heart and
desire to enable people to discover their God given gifts and
to develop leaders. He has served as a Chaplain for a children’s
hospice and local council and as a police chaplain and serves
the wider Baptist family on the Baptist Union of Great Britain
Council. He is also the chair of trustees for a charity called
Timothy Mission to African Townships, working with the poor of
South Africa, building a children’s village for children
affected by AIDS. He desires Chipping Sodbury to be a place where
people are cared for, accepted, encouraged, helped, healed and
forgiven, all growing and reaching their potential in Christ and
living out God’s purposes in their lives.

Mrs. Sue Pearce
Full-time Children's and Youth Worker
Sue is a qualified children’s and youth worker. She has worked
with us part-time since 1995, and full-time since 2004. She has
a wide experience in youth work both within and outside the church
community. She is a leader in the inter-church school and youth ministry
in Chipping Sodbury and Yate. To find out more about this work look

The Rev'd Jenni Entrican
Minister for Jacob's Well
Jenni spent several years in teaching and joined our ministerial
team in 2000. She trained at Bristol Baptist College and is responsible
for a new local Christian community (Jacob’s Well),
which started in 2005. This is designed to explore new ways of being
'church' in today's society. To read more about this go

The Ministerial Team is ably supported by a group of five leaders and their
teams who contribute to the day-to-day running of the church.
The Church Office, which is open from 9.30 am to 12.00pm Monday to Friday,
is manned by volunteers, under the leadership of Mandy Knight
